RE:         Harassment  Prevention training in compliance with CA AB 1825

Dear Clients,

Don’t put your company at risk!!!

The first two-year business period covered by California state law AB 1825 “Sexual Harassment Prevention Training” will be over on December 31, 2007.  Organizations with more than 50 employees which have not done their training yet may be putting themselves at serious risk of incurring regulatory fines and/or much higher legal penalties.  The law, which went into effect Jan 1, 2006 requires organizations to provide two hours of mandatory, interactive sexual harassment prevention training to all managers and supervisors every two years.  In addition, in order to stay in compliance with this law, if the company has never provided this training before, it should do so by the end of this year.  The costs of failing to do this training are very high: the average jury award in the State of California for an employment related case (such as retaliation for reporting sexual harassment – the most common occurrence) currently averages well over $1 million dollars per incident, not including attorney’s fees.

Bottom line: get this mandatory compliance training done as soon as possible.

Training.  CUSTOMatrix human resources consultants and trainers have a great deal of expertise and experience in providing harassment prevention training.  We have done so for large San Diego-based organizations including Qualcomm and L-3 and some smaller organizations such as Modern Postcard and Neurocrine Biosciences.

Delivery Options.  We can deliver this training using a solo subject matter/harassment training expert or using live actors and a facilitator.  Our principals have unique expertise in using live, professional theater and interactive facilitation as training tools on harassment prevention with great success.

Results. Clients frequently report our harassment training programs are much more interesting, engaging and entertaining than any other they have attended.  As a result, retention of concepts, policies and procedures are much higher.

Costs.  For one 2-hour program led by a solo trainer…$1,950.   For one 2-hour program featuring two professional actors and one facilitator presenting off-the-shelf scenarios…$3,500 .  For one 2-hour program featuring four professional actors and one facilitator presenting fully customized scenarios designed specifically for your culture and organization…$4,950.
